Fundraising at Baltimore City College
We truly admire the culture and pride within high schools in Baltimore city.
This Spring, we were invited to Baltimore City College’s annual fundraiser/party, and we finally got to see what makes this well-known high school so special. It is the third oldest school in the United States and the alma mater of so many talented people we know.
We ate, drank, danced, and helped raise money for school programs. We heard inspiring stories from Mr. Doug Jones, Class of ‘69, who helped make significant change in the school back in the late 60’s, when Black student enrollment started to increase. We met the passionate parents, staff, and local businesses who keep the school going, and we donated a bucket hat that we made using African fabrics in City colors (congrats to our winner, Mr. Jones!).
Special thanks to the entire City community for welcoming us! We are excited to continue working together.
